Anyway — as for next week’s episode, I hope Dean kills Lisa but that probably isn’t going to happen. I don’t know what’s really going on, whether Dean is turning into a monster or if it’s just a hallucination or what, but yeah. We’ll see…

I HATE DEAN PLAYING HOUSE.

It doesn’t fit him, and don’t get me started on what’s her face. We know Dean will eventually go back into hunting, but not without some heartbreak. I don’t know what they will do to his woman and her son, but the mere fact that they’ll even have to waste time on that story line bugs me.

So Sam is back from Hell. Again, we aren’t sure what brought him back out or for what purpose, but along with him coming back, Mama Winchester’s daddy was brought back as well. We are informed that with all the resurrections going on, something big has to be coming which is why Sam decided to reunite with Dean after one year in hiding.

Although I respect why Sam stayed away for a year — their reunification was awkward at best and I don’t think they will ever be the same again. The vibe I got from their entire interaction was the vibe I would get watching a couple get back together after one of them cheats. Sure, they still love each other, but will they ever get that original spark back?

We see that Sam has developed a bit of his own identity apart from Dean — getting his own car and detailing it to his own liking — refusing to take the Impala that Dean no longer drives. I think this scene alone shows their co-dependency breaking once and for all. I suppose that is a good thing, but at the same time, there’s that awkwardness as if they are strangers now.

The highlight of the episode was Corin Nemec who plays a fellow hunter/cousin of the boys. I love Corin Nemec to pieces, and am SO excited that he’s apart of the show. Hopefully they keep him around for more than a few episodes, and hopefully he plays a bigger part.

As much as I want Dean to break away from playing house, no matter how it happens (if it happens), it won’t change the fact that he DID IT, and it just changed a lot of stuff for me.

Jeffery Dean Morgan is in the news for allegedly having a love child with One Tree Hill actress Hilarie Burton. I wondered if they named the baby Adam?

I wanted to post this one because I think it represents Dean this season. I’m not sure where this picture originated from or what episode it’s featured in, but Dean’s been going through some heavy stuff lately and it just breaks my heart. The things he carries on his shoulders — I hope soon this wayward son will be able to lay his weary head to rest.

And as for this picture:
I don’t think I have to say why I picked this one?! I’ll sum it up with a conversation I just had with the husband:

Me: (Laughs at picture and clicks *save*)
Him: Why are you saving that onto your computer?
Me: He’s doing his thing. You wouldn’t understand unless you were a fan.
Him: You don’t think I know what he’s doing?
Me: What is he doing?
Him: He’s taking all the black sh*t out of the bear.
Me: (Impressed.)

I do have a few comments on what’s been going on:

1.) Cas has been so funny in the last few episodes; my favorite moment in these recent episodes was when Sam called Cas on his cellphone and Cas’ voice mail came on. His hilarious, “Wait, why do I have to say my name?” statement was to die for.

2.) I’m getting horribly confused about what’s going on with things.

3.) Dean’s moment of tricking Zachariah (sp?) was most excellent; I’m so very glad he is gone, but now I’m at a loss of what the boys are going to do now. (I guess find all four Horseman rings?)

4.) Was the trickster always Gabriel? Even in the very first episode where we saw him?

5.) The moment when Bobby shows Dean his gun and how he thinks of blowing his brains out everyday was intense. I heart Bobby for life.

6.) What was with Dean going to Lisa’s house? I’m sorry, but I just didn’t see that much intense chemistry between either of them during “The Kids Aren’t Alright” episode. They had a fling, right? I can’t see how this woman would be the love of Dean’s life, especially when we got no hint of that at all in later episodes. If I had to choose any “love of his life” for Dean, it would have been Cassie from “Route 666.” I can’t remember the episode at all but I seem to vaguely remember them having more history than him and Lisa. I don’t know, it just seemed way out of left field to me. It was like the writers were scurrying to give Dean these “final amends/goodbyes” sequences simply to tug at our heart strings and voila! You’ve got Lisa.

Can’t think of anything else right now — but I’m definitely excited for the final four episodes of the season! Still can’t fathom what they’ll do for another season.

I really, really enjoyed last week’s episode for several reasons. It definitely was not a filler episode and we were able to delve a little more into the apocalypse storyline. I also like the fact that even though it wasn’t one of those funny episodes, there were parts in there that had me laughing out loud. I also like the fact that it dealt with people’s vices and addictions as I am working towards becoming a substance abuse counselor.

The most important thing we learn from this episode is that Dean may be “soulless.” The whole premise is that the “hungry” horseman comes and makes everybody’s soul hunger for something — whether that’s alcohol, food, sex, etc. The entire time everybody is being overtaken by this, even Castiel, and we are left wondering why on earth Dean isn’t affected. This is when we find out that Dean may very well not have a soul, or at least a soul worth saving. This all eventually leads up to one of the most powerful endings in Supernatural history (in my opinion) — Dean breaking down and asking God for help. The scene touched my heart and made me cry out for Dean (not literally); I felt so tremendously sad for Dean in that moment.

Enough sadness — the parts that made me laugh out loud were when Castiel and Dean were on the phone with each other. Dean was asking when Castiel would meet them at their location and as soon as he turns around Castiel is standing there and says something along the lines of, “I’m there now” with the most adorable look on his face! This was a Castiel heavy episode and I enjoyed every second of it. I’m sure my readers did too! The second part was when Dean handed over a real heart to Sam and asked him to be his Valentine. Priceless!

Ok…I think that’s all I wanted to touch on. I am VERY disappointed that no new episodes will be airing until the end of March. I just got over waiting forever during the winter hiatus! Now I have to wait another month — oh, the torture! No pun intended (Dean).

I can’t believe I went a whole two months without the show, but last night did not disappoint. Long story short — the boys get into a mental hospital in order to find out why patients are dropping like flies. There wasn’t much of the apocalypse story; it was another filler, but I enjoyed it because it touched on Sam and Dean’s co-dependency, Dean’s inner problems, and Sam’s anger.

I believe the boys are very co-dependent and I think this is a reason for a lot of their problems. I’m glad it was finally brought to light in last night’s episode. As for Dean, even though he’s still choosing to bury his feelings, anger, resentment, etc., I’m glad that doctor was able to open him up even a little. It was probably nice for Dean to hear some input from somebody other than his brother or Bobby. And for once nobody was giving him a guilt trip either. I think Dean really thought about what was going on in the inside this episode, and hopefully it chipped away a little at the stone that’s clearly around his heart.

With Sam, I was really proud at the end. He finally is choosing to accept that his anger is something of his own and NOT the product of everyone else. I think realizing this will help Sam in the long run — especially his victim mentality. Dean’s response wasn’t what I was hoping for, but I have to agree with him to an extent. Sam and Dean are trying to stop the apocalypse; they don’t have time to work on themselves right now. It’s a sad thing, especially because I don’t like seeing either boy in pain, but time is a-ticking.

I guess this show meant more to me than it would for other people, but only because I’ve dealt with addiction and family issues and counseling and therapy. I’m also becoming an addiction counselor myself so I was a proud puppy hearing Sam come to his realization. Also proud of Dean for opening up just a little.

As for everything else — there were some laugh out loud moments; I loved Dean’s “PUDDING!” yell in the morgue. The fact that they were outright telling everyone about the apocalypse was great. There were some sexified moments — mostly the parts when Sam was beating the crap out of everybody. I’m just a big fan of his hair going everywhere. And the guy who played the older hunter — can’t recall his character name right now — but I’ve always liked him as an actor.

A downfall — no Castiel this episode. Also — there were some unrealistic moments in last night’s episode; it really bothered me how unsupervised and unprotected the mental hospital was. I know Sam and Dean are like ninjas, but to not restrain Sam after the first attack would have been unheard of, and the fact that they just ran out the back door at the end was crazy (no pun intended). I know it’s just a show, but yeah.

So I guess Castiel and I were together, but we hadn’t…consummated our relationship if you catch my drift. Anyway – that night was “the big night.” But to see Castiel, I had to go through this other angel/doorman first. He looked like Castiel so I was like, “You should join us tonight!” Of course this angel was all for it. (I know…weird, right?) So anyway – I walk into Catiel’s room with the doorman angel and you could tell Castiel was disappointed. I guess Castiel and I could communicate with our brains so I sent out a message, “Do you want me to send him away?” And he told me yes, so I did.

So we were right about to do our thing and….that’s all I remember!

So even though I didn’t get to see what it was like to be with an angel, Castiel looked damn fine in my dream. I’m so excited for Supernatural on the 21st!

Sorry to my Supernatural gals who frequent my blog; I know I haven’t written about the last Supernatural that was on. I suppose I was recovering from the fact that Supernatural isn’t going to be on until January 21st! WAH.

Dean Betting His Years...

Last night’s episode was definitely a filler episode. Not that I didn’t enjoy it, but I think there was just a little too much fluff. Especially because I think Dean’s predicament was actually quite severe and the fact that he almost died was minimized by all the funny lines and jabs between Bobby and Old Dean.

I think my favorite line was when the young/old guy in the beginning tells the boys about the game and Sam says, “What…like X-Box?” It had me laughing out loud.

The gentlemen who plays Old Dean was good; he sort of reminded me of Clint Eastwood (and did Patrick remind anyone else of Johnny Depp?). Again, the lines between him and Bobby were good, but I sort of wish they had put old man make-up on Dean instead. I think the chemistry would have been 100% better although that may have looked fake (Dean in old man make-up).

Like I said before, the episode was definitely a filler episode, but that’s okay. I was sort of getting tired of the apocalypse story line and missed the episodes where individual hunts were focused on. Looks like next week’s episode is going to be a filler episode as well, but what I’d like to know is what the angels and demons are doing while Sam and Dean are playing poker and getting trapped in TV shows!

Onto the deep stuff:

Patrick trying to ruin Sam’s game by pulling the Big Brother/Little Brother card. And again we see Sam’s “desperation” to save his older brother, although in the end we aren’t sure if it was genuine or a bluff. As stated before, Dean could have legitimately died and the show seemed to carry on with the laughs and giggles. Sam didn’t seem too hurried or worried of this fact either. It just seemed a little pointless because we all knew as an audience Dean wasn’t going to die. It was a good storyline, but it just seemed like it would have been a good storyline a few seasons back instead of THIS season. Am I making sense?

So that’s all for now. Sorry I was late — I had to watch it online because I was working Thursday night!
